Singing    Telegram

After a brief stint as a door-to-door shoe shiner, Adhamh Roland began his professional music career as a street performing singer-songwriter in his musical hometown, St. Louis, Missouri. Some albums and tours later he hung his hat in Berkeley, California where he launched Tin Can Singing Telegram on Mother's Day 2011 with the tap dancin' and kazooing co-founder Marie Chang who has since hung up her tutu and is following other dreams.

In addition to operating Tin Can, Roland was a diversity and equity trainer and consultant with educational institutions around the Bay Area.

Roland spent a year on the East Coast with Tin Can and moved back west to pursue a career in hospice chaplaincy. He is currently a divinity school student, meditator, bike rider, dancer and (of course) music maker.

Early April 2020 Roland received a call from a former Tin Can customer in New York who was determined to find a way to celebrate her spouse's birthday amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. Tin Can delivered! That customer, he realized, spoke for many during this time. It was the call to duty that Roland needed to dust off his accordion and open the (digital) doors of Tin Can Singing Telegram once again with a renewed sense of purpose and service.

Find out more about Adhamh's solo music project here.
